To promote and encourage:
- Enhanced athletic performance through the highest quality of
chiropractic management, rehabilitation and prevention of sports
related injuries.
- Education, training and clinical research into the cause, treatment,
rehabilitation and prevention of sports related injuries and the
enhancement of athletic performance.
- The investigation and evaluation of sports performance.
- To correlate and disseminate information regarding chiropractic
management of sports related injuries to members and the chiropractic
profession at large.
- The standardisation of the terminology of sports chiropractic
within the chiropractic profession.
- The maintenance of the highest standards of professional conduct
among members and to uphold the Code of Ethics of the General
Chiropractic Council.

In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise:
- To support the professional welfare and interests of members.
- To maintain and encourage consultation with all sporting bodies.
- To associate or affiliate with or to any association or institution
with objects similar in whole or in part to those of the Council.
- To assist in and encourage the teaching of sports chiropractic
in chiropractic teaching institutions and throughout the chiropractic
profession.
- To initiate and sponsor seminars, graduate and post graduate
studies and research through chiropractic teaching institutions,
and, where appropriate, British Government agencies.
- To maintain a register of persons who are in membership with
the Council.
- To carry out publicity on behalf of sports chiropractic.
- To diffuse amongst its members information on all matters affecting
the profession of sports chiropractic and to print, publish and
circulate such papers, periodicals, books, circulars and other
literary undertakings as may seem conducive to any of these objects.
